Ian Scott "Scotty" and Andy Morris
Scotty
Scotty set up Proactive First Aid Training seven years ago.
I have been training First Aid for over twenty five years in various settings. I am a retired Police Officer who delivered both Officer Safety Training and First Aid Training throughout most of my career. I carried out the role of a Public Order Medic for several years whilst in the Met Police and held my FAW qualification for most of my thirty years service. I am a fully insured and qualified accredited trainer. I am a qualified Internal Quality Assurance assessor and hold qualifications in First Aid at Work, Outdoor First Aid at Work and am a qualified First Responder (FREC 3) And currently undertaking the Frec 4 Course. Since retiring from the Police I have been operating as a freelance Senior Instructor for several South of England based companies and also now manage and run Proactive First Aid Training which is a fully accredited provider through the FAIB (First Aid Industry Body) .
Andy
Andy is a recent addition to our team but someone who I have known for many years. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the training field.
He is is a fully qualified outdoor instructor with numerous coaching qualifications. He is one of a team of medics I work with on various events.
Andy has worked within the emergency services for many years and has lots of experience of incident management. He is passionate in his attitude towards training and particularly First Aid. He has a fun, engaging teaching style which is learner focused. I was present at a white water rescue incident where he calmly effected a text book rescue on a swimmer who most certainly would have died without his intervention and actions.
